On July 1st, in order to further unify thoughts and build up consensus, our school held 2023 first-stage summer study session for department and school cadres in the Multi-function Hall. With the theme of "forging ahead with new ideas, writing a new chapter with new goals", the cadres conducted in-depth discussions on key tasks in the next school semester, such as implementing "one post and two responsibilities", deepening specialty construction, consolidating student management, and improving service guarantee. Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, Chen Xiaobin, president of the school, and all department and other school leaders attended the meeting, which was presided over by Du Haiyan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee.
Gao Ju pointed out that unifying thoughts and building up consensus is the core purpose of holding the cadre study session. How to effectively ensure the orderly operation of teaching and education, management and services in new higher vocational college is the most important work of the school in the second half of the year. All departments and schools of the college should focus on the key work, especially the areas that students are concerned about, such as dormitories, canteens, libraries, and practical training, and do their best to provide all kinds of service and guarantee. Cadres and Party members should give full play to the exemplary role of "one post and two responsibilities", and promote cadres' style and ability. Gao Ju hopes that all department leaders will take a more active attitude as pioneers, carry forward the innovative spirit of the third venture, lead the teaching staff to creatively carry out all kinds of work, and make every effort to ensure the healthy, stable and safe operation of the new higher vocational college.
Chen Xiaobin emphasized that through the past year's development, the school successfully achieved the leap from secondary vocational school to higher vocational school and entered a new development stage. Focusing on the key work of the second half of the year, he elaborated the construction ideas and measures of three major priorities, namely, student management, teaching and scientific research, logistics services from four aspects: taking specialty construction as the leader, taking team construction as the core, taking system construction as the guarantee, and taking integrated school running as the feature. Chen Xiaobin made clear the future work direction in the second half of the year. He hopes that the cadre team will improve their political stance, take an active role and forge ahead in unity with "first-class teaching, first-class management and first-class logistics services".
At the study session, department and school leaders are divided into three groups: student management, teaching work and service guarantee, to discuss effective measures to strengthen cadres' "one post and two responsibilities" and practical strategies to implement the key points of school work. During the study session, the members of the three groups faced the problems directly and made suggestions and opinions one after another. They attached great importance to the healthy operation and safety guarantee regarding the three priorities of the new higher vocational college and put forward many constructive suggestions. Nine newly appointed cadres of the school made respective work report. They made achievements by leveraging capabilities and challenging shortcomings in the work, and expressed their commitment and determination to work harder in the future. At the beginning of the next school semester, the main departments will thoroughly study the key work of the school, formulate clear goals and measures, earnestly implement them in the work of the department, and report and exchange ideas at the second stage of school cadre study session.
At present, our school is at the key point of welcoming the first batch of higher vocational students in September, which will usher in a major test of construction and operation of the new higher vocational college. The successful convening of this class has effectively unified the thinking of school cadres of the whole school and consolidated the consensus. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all the faculty and staff, the development of the school will be more stable and a brand-new situation for the third venture will be created.
