On August 10th, Zhou Ganglin, vice president of the Cadre Training College of National Emergency Management Department, and Xiao Bin, director of the Safety Coordination Section of the Second Division of Hazardous Chemicals Supervision, and their party came to Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College to inspect and guide the construction and operation of the Chemical Safety Training Base. Li Shaotang, deputy director of Hazardous Chemicals Section of Shanghai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, Miao Yong and Yu Danqun, deputy directors of Jinshan Emergency Management Bureau, accompanied the inspection. Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, led the school leadership team members to warmly receive the visiting leaders and experts.
Zhou Ganglin fully affirmed the achievements made by the school in the safety training of Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base. Zhou Ganglin said that the task of safety production training is heavy and the responsibility is hefty. In the next step, the top-level design should be strengthened and the training assessment system should be revised and improved. It is necessary to enhance service awareness, standardize examination site discipline and improve training quality; It is necessary to better realize resource sharing, fulfill the needs of the society, serve production and enterprises, give full play to social benefits, and maximize the role of safety production training in reducing accidents.
At the symposium, on behalf of the school, Gao Ju introduced in detail the basic situation of the school's new higher vocational construction characteristics and specialties layout, focusing on the construction and effectiveness of the Chemical Safety Training Base. He pointed out that under the guidance of the municipal and district emergency management bureaus and other government departments, the school took the initiative to learn from the German dual-system chemical vocational qualification standards, strengthened the integration of production and education, cooperated with other schools and enterprises, and developed a vocational education and training system covering different types of personnel in chemical enterprises, forming a series of localized training standards and testing and certification standards. Since its establishment in October, 2020, the base has completed over 18,000 people's safety ability improvement training for all kinds of hazardous chemicals practitioners at all levels, and 14,000 students' training, providing strong talent support and intellectual support for serving regional economic security and social development.
After hearing the introduction of the construction and operation of the training base, Zhou Ganglin and his party had a one-on-one in-depth exchange with the relevant personnel in charge of training in the school around the topics of the base's software and hardware construction, operation team, training courses and outlines, teacher construction and teaching, reviewed the text materials prepared by the school, learned the details of the base construction, studied effective strategies to break the construction difficulties, and finally put forward many valuable guiding opinions.
Before the meeting, Zhou Ganglin and his party inspected the development of the school and the construction of the base. In School History Museum, the large screen, light box and exhibition board in the museum vividly show the development course, fruitful achievements and spiritual connotation of the school since its establishment in 1978. In the Cross-enterprise Training Center and Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base, the clean environment layout, standardized training teaching and characteristic operation mode aroused the visitors' interest, and details of operation process were exchanged among them. While looking at the characteristics and functions of the training projects on the spot, the school leaders expounded the construction characteristics of the training base jointly built by the school and enterprises, shared interesting and thought-provoking ideas in the construction process, and answered many questions from the guests on the spot. The members of the delegation spoke highly of the school's practical training construction and achievements.
In the future, the school will conscientiously implement the guidance of the leaders of National Emergency Management Department and Shanghai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, and continuously improve and upgrade the safety skills training level according to the suggestions put forward by the expert group. The school will continue to aim at the goal of building a first-class training base, strive to build a brand of chemical safety skills training, and do a good job in regional safety skills training services.
