On the afternoon of September 18th, Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College held the opening ceremony of class of 2023 freshmen, attended by Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee, and Chen Xiaobin, president. Chen Xiaobin extended warm welcome to the freshmen and encouraged them to forge ahead courageously on the track of vocational education. Xia Yingchun, a freshman majoring in Fire and Rescue of the three-year higher vocational education system, and Tang Ziqi, a freshman majoring in Digital Design and Manufacturing Technology in five-year system, made speeches respectively. Xia Yingchun shared his learning and growing experience in Shanghai Petrochemical Academy, and encouraged freshmen to cherish learning opportunities and work hard to become high-quality talents with social responsibility and practical ability. Xue Fei, Counselor of Economics and Business School, and Jin Lei, Head Teacher of Chemical Engineering School spoke respectively.
