In order to further improve the teaching quality and strengthen the construction of specialties, on the afternoon of October 16th, Chen Xiaobin, President of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Huang Hanjun, Vice President, Zhang Haixia, Dean of the School of Safety and Emergency Management, Cao Jun, Dean of the School of Economics and Business, and relevant teachers from the Teaching and Research Section of Fire Rescue visited Jinshan Fire Brigade. Ni Hao, Detachment Head of Jinshan Fire Brigade, Xu Congqi, Director of Political Department, and Fan Guiwei, Chief of Fire Supervision Division, warmly received our team.
Ni Hao introduced the current development of fire rescue in China and Jinshan, and expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the establishment of Fire Rescue Technology Specialty in the school. He believed that it was a trend for fire rescue and emergency management to develop professionally. At present, the country has a great talent gap in this field. The school seized this opportunity, reformed and innovated, optimized its structure, strengthened construction of specialties, and trained professional talents for the country and society. Jinshan Fire Brigade will fully support it, hoping to form a community of interests and jointly make Fire Rescue Technology Specialty into a renowned "Shanghai Brand".
On behalf of the school, Chen Xiaobin thanked Jinshan Fire Brigade for its strong support for the school's declaration and establishment of new specialties. He said that the training of vocational education talents must combine theory with practice, focus on post ability, be employment-oriented, and make full use of various resources. Jinshan Fire Brigade has professional personnel and training facilities, which will greatly promote the teaching quality and personnel training quality of the school’ Fire Rescue Technology Specialty. Huang Hanjun put forward some suggestions from the aspects of teacher and student practice and professional construction in view of the specific cooperation matters of joint training of talents between the two sides. Zhang Haixia reported the enrollment and class management of the first Fire Rescue Class in the school.
The visit enhanced mutual understanding, and the two sides reached a consensus on the necessity and specific measures of joint training of talents, which laid a good foundation for in-depth training of dual talents and accelerating the comprehensive development of related work such as the construction of Fire Rescue Technology Specialty.
