On March 20th, Xin Xiao, Secretary-General of China Chemical Education Association and Secretary-General of National Petroleum and Chemical Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee, paid a visit to Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, accompanied by Gao Ju, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school.
Xin Xiao gave guidance and suggestions on the training of chemical talents in the school based on the key points of China Chemical Education Association in 2024. Xin Xiao said that the Association will continue to play its role as a bridge and continuously improve the service level of its members. It is hoped that the new higher vocational college will continue to develop, actively participate in the formulation of group standards organized by the Association and the construction of teaching materials for the 10th Five-Year Plan, and the two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation to jointly provide strong support for the high-quality development of chemical skilled personnel.
Gao Ju introduced the characteristics of the school, which has deepened school-enterprise cooperation, integration of industry and education, and established a community of school-enterprise destiny. The school has benchmarked international standards, strengthened specialty construction, and vigorously enhanced the core competitiveness. It has also focused on the cooperation between government and school, education and training to effectively promote the integration of industry and city. Projects have been playing a role in making special breakthroughs and building a platform for teachers' growth. At the same time, Gao Ju shared the specialty setting and future planning of the new higher vocational school.
Before the meeting, Xin Xiao visited School History Museum, Exhibition Hall of Chemical Industry and Human Science Popularization, Cross-enterprise Training Center, Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base, and Santoni School-enterprise Integration Base, and spoke highly of the remarkable achievements made by the school in the cultivation and training of chemical skilled talents.
