Our School and Covestro Launched a Talent Joint Cultivation Exchange Meeting to Deepen School-enterprise Cooperation

On August 8, Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, and Chen Xiaobin, president of the school, led a delegation to visit Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai to discuss further deepening the cooperation between the two sides in the field of personnel training for the first Covestro Higher Vocational Class. Chen Yun, Senior Vice President of Covestro Global and General Manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, Ji Wenbin, Deputy General Manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai and Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Affairs of Covestro Asia Pacific, and other leaders warmly welcomed the arrival of the school delegation. The two sides discussed in detail the students' ability evaluation, the progress of specialty co-construction and the future cooperation orientation of the first Covestro Higher Vocational Class.

During the talks, Gao Ju emphasized that Covestro is always one of the closest partners of the school, and the development of the school cannot be separated from the strong support of Covestro. It is the common goal and responsibility of our school and Covestro to cultivate high-quality technicians and technical talents. He pointed out that the integration of production and education through school-enterprise cooperation can not only effectively improve students' professional skills and professionalism, but also inject a steady stream of new vitality into the sustainable development of the enterprise. On behalf of Covestro, Chen Yun thanked the school for having sent a large number of high-quality technicians and technical talents to the enterprise in the past two decades. He mentioned that many graduates from our school have grown into the backbone force and management leaders of Covestro through their own efforts and the cultivation of the enterprise. At present, the school's higher vocational development plan and the growth demand of the enterprise provide a good foundation for further cooperation between school and enterprise. He looks forward to continuing to promote educational innovation and personnel training through school-enterprise resource sharing.

The two sides discussed in detail the training plan of the first Covestro Class, including academic situation analysis, teaching syllabus, training content, assessment standards and graduation design. In order to ensure that the students in Covestro Class can better meet the needs of the enterprise, the two sides also made specific arrangements for students’ summer camps, expert lectures and employment guidance services.

This negotiation not only deepened mutual understanding and trust, but also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation. Both sides indicated that they would make joint efforts to explore more innovative cooperation modes to better serve the needs of social and economic development and industrial upgrading.
