On September 6th, on the occasion of the 40th Teacher's Day, Wu Ying, deputy secretary of Jinshan Education Work Party Committee, accompanied by Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, visited Dong Shaodi, an outstanding teacher representative of the school, and extended festive greetings and best wishes to the hard-working frontline teachers and educators.
Wu Ying had a cordial conversation with Dong Shaodi, learned about her work and life, thanked her for her hard work and selfless dedication to Jinshan Education, and sent her holiday wishes. Wu Ying emphasized the important role of teachers, who are not only the disseminators of knowledge, but also the shapers of students' moral character and an important force to promote social progress and civilization. Wu Ying said that she would consistently support the development of the school and care about the growth and well-being of teachers. She hopes that teachers will continue to invest more enthusiasm in education and lead students to grow into talents.
Gao Ju said that the care of the leaders reflects the importance attached by Jinshan Education Bureau to the construction of the school's teaching staff, and enhances the teachers' sense of honor and belonging. All teachers in the school will continue to keep in mind their mission, stick to their posts, inherit and innovate, and make unremitting efforts for the high-quality development of Jinshan higher vocational education.
Dong Shaodi has been teaching for 21 years and has always been at the forefront of English teaching. As the director of the English Teaching and Research Section, she actively leads the teaching team to explore the connotation construction of English courses and is committed to improving students' English application ability and comprehensive quality. In 2024, Dong Shaodi, as the instructor and participating teacher, participated in the "Oral English" Teacher-Student Competition of Shanghai Vocational College for the first time and won the second prize at the municipal level. She instructed students to participate in the 9th Fudan Club Cup Academic English Vocabulary Competition for College Students and students won the first prize in China. She took an active part in the teaching professional competition and won the special prize of the national rematch, the first prize of the national semi-final and the second prize of the finals of the "Teaching Star" (higher vocational group) competition of FLTRP in 2024.
