On October 11th, the 2nd "Strongest Operation" Young Device Professionals Competition of Shanghai Petrochemical was successfully held in the Chemical Comprehensive Training Building of our school. The purpose of this competition is to improve the operating skills of young employees and strengthen their awareness of safety in production. The School of Chemical Engineering provides technical support. The competition attracted 18 excellent teams from many departments, such as Oil Refining Department, Olefin Department, Aromatic Department and Chemical Department.
This competition combines theoretical knowledge assessment and practical skills, and it is divided into two parts: written test and on-site practice. The written test focuses on the understanding and application of equipment lubrication management and 5S management, while the on-site practice includes a series of operation tasks, such as the correct wearing of safety belt, the use of positive pressure air respirator, reading and recording data, turning the gear and starting the pump.
On the day of the competition, Chen Xiaobin, president of the school, and Xie Li, secretary of the Disciplinary Committee and chairman of the trade union of Shanghai Petrochemical Company, came to the scene to observe and give guidance to the competition. Xie Li spoke highly of the high-level performance of the team members and expressed her appreciation for the close cooperation between the school and the enterprise. Both the school and the enterprise have conducted in-depth exchanges on how to better promote the practice of integration of industry and education, and jointly discussed innovative ideas and measures for joint training of talents in order classes.
In order to ensure the fairness and professionalism of the competition, the contestants wore their summer uniforms, work shoes and helmets, and strictly abided by the Rules for Competitors. After a day of fierce competition, all the participating teams showed a very high professional level and teamwork ability, and the competition was successfully concluded. The organizing committee of the "Strongest Operation" Competition of Shanghai Petrochemical expressed that the competition not only improved the operation skills and safety awareness of the participants, but also deepened the importance of teamwork. The organizing committee promised to hold such activities in the future to promote technological innovation and development of the enterprise and deepen cooperation and exchanges between school and enterprise.
The success of this competition marks a new stage of school-enterprise cooperation, and the cooperation between the two sides in personnel training and technical exchange will be closer. We look forward to training more high-quality technical talents through more such activities in the future, and further enhancing the social service ability of school vocational education.
