The autumn is cool and the playing field is filled with excitement. On the afternoon of October 10th, Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College ushered in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Sports Festival and Invista Cup Track and Field Games. President Chen Xiaobin, vice presidents Huang Hanjun, Yan Xiaoli and heads of related schools attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Luo Xi, secretary of the Youth League Committee.
The opening ceremony of the sports meeting kicked off with the background music of the Impassioned Athletes' March. The national flag guards marched forcefully and guarded the bright five-star red flag, walking at the forefront of the team, showing their heroic spirit. The red flag guardian team and the flower team followed closely, with high spirits and imposing manner. Twenty-four representative class phalanxes were dressed in sportswear, holding all kinds of special props, accompanied by passionate melodies, loud slogans. Marching at the pace of youth, they entered the playing field in turn, showing the students' vigorous vitality and good spiritual outlook. Their confidence and enthusiasm won applause from the audience present.
After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, Chen Xiaobin made an opening speech. Chen Xiaobin said that the school has always kept in mind that "sports carry the dream of national prosperity and national rejuvenation" put forward by the General Secretary Xi Jinping. China is strong when sports are strong, and sports are prosperous when the country is prosperous. We attach great importance to sports work, encourage students to participate in sunshine sports, and inspire them to walk into the playground and get close to nature. Wang Hui, a physical education teacher, and Xu Xiang, a student of 230 Digital Design, took the oath as representatives of referees and athletes respectively, and their firm and powerful voices highlighted the spirit of fair referee and fair competition among athletes.
Subsequently, students brought wonderful performances such as dragon dancing, playing with sticks, military boxing and cheerleading to the teachers and students, which showed the all-round development of the students and triggered cheers from the audience.
