On December 12th, in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the National Education Conference, implement the relevant arrangements of "the National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan" and "the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Modern Vocational Education", improve the digital level of vocational education, and promote the high-quality development of modern vocational education, the seminar on "Cultivation of Chemical Digital Intelligent Talents and Artificial Intelligence Teaching" jointly sponsored by China Chemical Education Association and the National Petroleum and Chemical Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee was successfully held in Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. This conference attracted more than 80 people from all over the country, including vocational college leaders, experts and scholars, and enterprise representatives. Leader's Speech: Talking about the New Future of AI Empowering Chemical Vocational Education
At 9 o'clock in the morning, the meeting officially kicked off. In their speeches, the leaders at the meeting placed high hopes on the reform and development of AI new technology-enpowered vocational education, and pointed out the direction for the future development of vocational education.
Xin Xiao, Secretary-General of China Chemical Education Association and Secretary-General of National Petroleum and Chemical Vocational Education and Teaching Steering Committee, pointed out that with the rapid development of science and technology, AI has become a key force to drive the transformation and upgrading of various industries including chemical industry. He emphasized that vocational colleges must actively embrace the change of digital intelligence. The association will build a series of evaluation platforms around base construction, skills training and teaching material development, deepen the integrated application of AI technology in education and production, drive development with innovation, and jointly respond to the opportunities and challenges faced by the development of the chemical industry.
Ma Jianchao, the second-level inspector of Shanghai Education Commission and director of Vocational Education Department, pointed out that vocational education is not only an important way to cultivate technical and skilled personnel, but also an important support to promote economic and social development. Shanghai encourages and supports all kinds of vocational colleges to actively carry out digital transformation. High-quality colleges such as Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College have not only established national virtual simulation training bases, but also effectively improved the social adaptability of vocational education by digital and intelligent means. Sun Fangbo, deputy director of Jinshan Education Bureau, stressed that vocational education is an important support for economic and social development. Expert Report: A New Path of AI Empowering Chemical Education
At the seminar, the participants listened to the wonderful reports of many experts. Dr. Chen Jinqiu, Senior Vice President of Operation and Base Management of Evonik Greater China, brought the keynote report "The Way Out in Crisis" and discussed in depth how AI technology can help the transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry. Yan Xiaoli, vice president of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, shared a report entitled "Construction and Operation Experience Sharing of Virtual Simulation Training Base for Hazardous Chemical Safety". She introduced the innovative practice of virtual simulation technology in detail, and showed how to improve students' practical operation ability and safety awareness by building a virtual simulation training base. Professor Liu Zhiguo, former president and secretary of the Party Committee of Qinhuangdao Vocational and Technical College, made a report entitled "Strengthening the Construction of Virtual Simulation Training Base to Improve the Quality of Vocational Education Personnel Training" from a macro perspective. Liu Zhiguo put forward a series of specific measures to improve the quality of vocational education, including increasing investment in the construction of virtual simulation training base, optimizing curriculum and strengthening the construction of teaching staff. During the observation and discussion session, the participants first visited the National Virtual Simulation Training Base of Hazardous Chemical Safety in Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College and experienced the advanced training equipment and technology. Through the visit, we not only learned about the latest achievements of the school in virtual simulation technology, but also felt the great potential of AI technology in practical teaching. This visit not only enhanced the participants' understanding of AI technology, but also provided them with valuable practical experience.
After the visit, two sub-venues for observation and discussion were organized. Venue 1 focuses on the course observation of Centrifugal Pump Unit Fault Analysis and Treatment, which is taught by Ye Guoqing, one teacher of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. The course shows how to integrate AI technology into practical teaching, and through intelligent fault diagnosis and treatment process, students' ability to analyze and solve centrifugal pump unit faults is improved. In Venue 2, Xue Mingjun led the participants to experience "On-site Inspection Operation of C2 Hydrogenation Unit". She combined practical demonstration with the safety management mode of AI technology, which provided a new solution for the safety production of the chemical industry. Through group discussion, participants shared their own experiences and insights, and jointly explored more ideas and initiatives of AI technology in the field of chemical education.
Base Construction: Digital Technology Promotes Innovation of Chemical Engineering Training
During the discussion on the operation and management of training teaching and training base, Li Daihua, deputy general manager from Oriental Simulation Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech entitled "Practice of High-quality Project of Integration of Production and Education under the New Ecology of Digital Teaching". He shared the successful experience of the enterprise in the field of digital teaching, and realized resource sharing, teaching interaction and personalized learning by building a digital teaching platform, thus promoting the innovation and development of education mode.
