On April 9th, Li Jiong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park Development Co., Ltd. and his party visited our school for inspection and communication. They visited the School History Museum, the Cross-enterprise Training Center and Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base to gain a deeper understanding of the school's innovative practice and educational effect in vocational education, integration of production and education, safety skills training and other fields. Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of the school, accompanied the research, introduced the achievements of the school in detail, and had in-depth exchanges with the research group on issues such as deepening school-enterprise cooperation and serving regional industrial upgrading.
In the School History Museum, Gao Ju vividly told Li Jiong and his party about the struggle course of the school's strategy of taking root in the chemical industry and serving the nation. Through historical documents, characteristic exhibits and digital exhibitions, the school's outstanding achievements in personnel training, technological innovation and social services were presented in a panoramic view. Li Jiong spoke highly of the school's mission of "educating people for the Party and the nation", especially pointing out that the school motto spirit of "Learned, Virtuous, Skilled, Devoted" is highly compatible with the demand for talents in the chemical industry in the new era, which shows the core value of vocational education in serving the development of the industry.
In the Cross-enterprise Training Center and Shanghai Safety Skills Comprehensive Training Demonstration Base, Gao Ju mainly introduced the dual education mode of integration of theory and practice jointly established by the school and the leading enterprises in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, which has delivered more than half of the first-line high-quality technicians and technical talents to Shanghai Chemical Industry Park for many years. The base integrates safety skills upgrading training, safety production qualification appraisal, etc., and undertakes multi-level safety skills upgrading training tasks for new employees, team leaders and special operations practitioners for enterprises including the ones located in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, with a total of over 30,000 person-times. It has become an important base for training chemical safety skills talents in the Yangtze River Delta. After on-the-spot observation, Li Jiong said that school-enterprise cooperation in educating people is the key way to break the bottleneck of industrial talents, and he hoped to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides, promote the accurate matching of education supply and industry demand, and help the chemical industry to make an intelligent and green transformation. Li Jiong emphasized that safety in production is the bottom line requirement of the chemical industry, and the school should continue to play the leading role of the demonstration base, and deliver more compound safety talents who are "skilled in technology, precise in operation and good at emergency response" for the industry.
During the inspection, the two sides discussed the cooperation directions such as the integration of production and education, collaborative innovation, joint construction of safety training system and two-way exchange mechanism of talents. Li Jiong said that Shanghai Chemical Industry park will fully support the cooperation between enterprises and school, push enterprises in the park to deepen the cooperation, share technical resources and cultivate high-end talents together, and work together to create a good ecology of "education empowers industries and industry invigorates education".
Gao Ju said that the school will take this survey as an opportunity to closely meet the development needs of Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, further expand the depth of school-enterprise cooperation, upgrade the function of training platform, improve the two-wheel drive system of "vocational education and vocational training", and provide solid talent and technical support for building a world-class green chemical industry cluster in Shanghai.
