On April 21st, Xu Siyuan, deputy director of Organization Department and deputy general manager of Human Resources Department of Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., and his party came to our school to discuss school-enterprise cooperation. Chen Xiaobin, president of the school, and heads of relevant departments attended the discussion. In the meeting room on the fourth floor of the School Administration Building, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as the construction of "National Hazardous Chemical Safety & Intelligent Production Industry - Education Integration Community", the optimization of talent training mode for order classes, and the co-construction of student and employee integrated training bases, and discussed the new path of collaborative education between school and enterprise to help the high-quality development of regional chemical industry.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Xiaobin thanked Shanghai Petrochemical for its long-term support for the development of the school, and emphasized that school-enterprise cooperation is the key to improving the quality and excellence of vocational education. The two sides exchanged views on the preparation plan of "National Hazardous Chemical Safety & Intelligent Production Industry - Education Integration Community". Xu Siyuan spoke highly of the significance of community construction, pointing out that it will accelerate the tackling of technical problems of enterprises, enhance the level of industry intelligence, and inject new energy into building Shanghai into an international chemical industry highland.
At the meeting, both school and enterprise made a phased summary of the training effect of the first "Shanghai Petrochemical Order Class". While affirming the achievements, they also pointed out the direction for the further development. The two sides announced the start of the formation of the 2024 order class so as to deliver more high-quality talents that can be used, retained and developed well for the enterprise. In order to further deepen the connotation of the integration of production and education, the two sides initially reached a cooperative consensus on building a comprehensive training base for education and production integration. The base will integrate the real production scene of Shanghai Petrochemical and the national chemical training resources of the school, and provide sustainable human resources support for the transformation and upgrading of the enterprise.
This exchange laid a solid foundation for the follow-up cooperation between the two sides. The school will take this meeting as an opportunity to continuously innovate the integration mode of production and education, empower the high-quality development of regional economy, and cultivate artisans in the new era for Shanghai to build a world-class city.
