On April 23rd, Ji Wenbin, Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Affairs of Covestro Asia Pacific, Deputy General Manager of Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai, came to our school to exchange school-enterprise cooperation. Our school president Chen Xiaobin and heads of relevant departments attended the discussion.
Chen Xiaobin extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Covestro leaders, and expressed sincere gratitude to Covestro for its long-term strong support for the development of the school. Chen Xiaobin said that the school will give full play to the advantages of educational resources, actively cooperate with the talent needs of the enterprise, and promote the further development of school-enterprise cooperation by optimizing the curriculum system and deepening practical teaching, so as to cultivate more high-quality applied talents for the chemical industry. Ji Wenbin emphasized that the steady development of the enterprise cannot be separated from the support of high-quality skilled talents. He hoped that through in-depth cooperation with our school, a win-win situation would be achieved in enterprise development, school education and student growth, and new kinetic energy would be injected into the high-quality development of the chemical industry.
During the exchange activities, the two sides comprehensively reviewed the cooperation achievements of 230 Covestro Class. In the past year, the two sides cooperated deeply in curriculum co-construction and teaching implementation, and the school-enterprise joint training model achieved positive results. The students of 230 Covestro Class have made outstanding achievements in various activities such as skills competition, professional study and social practice. A total of 25 students were selected for 240 Covestro Class, and a class organizing ceremony will be held soon. Facing the future, the two sides have defined the direction of multi-dimensional in-depth cooperation. The two sides will explore the effective linking mechanism of industrial chain, innovation chain and education chain through the construction of an integrated community of production and education and the training of students of Covestro Classes, so as to realize the seamless connection between talent supply and enterprise demand.
This exchange activity marks that the cooperation between our school and Covestro has reached a new height. The two sides will work together to cultivate high-quality chemical professionals and write a new chapter in school-enterprise cooperation with closer cooperation and more innovative model.
