Cooperation between School and Fire and Rescue Corps, Deepening Actual Combat Ability and Building Chemical Safety Defense Line Together

On April 28th, the commander team of Shanghai Fire and Rescue Corps and the backbone members of combat training gathered in our school to participate in a one-day training class for the petrochemical fire fighting in Shanghai. This training relies on the advanced chemical training base facilities and professional teachers, focusing on chemical production safety risk identification, emergency response and practical skills improvement, laying a solid foundation for the fire rescue team to scientifically respond to chemical disasters and accidents.

The course design of the training class emphasizes the combination of theory and practice, covering four modules: chemical production risk identification, equipment and process handling, accident analysis and practical exercise with combination of reality and virtual reality. In the morning training session, Zhang Hua, a senior lecturer, systematically explained the main points of risk prevention and control of petrochemical production equipment through typical case analysis, emphasizing the requirements of 'six preventions' and the safety norms at the accident site. Wang Jiawei, a safety supervisor, deeply analyzed the identification of chemical equipment, the application of fixed fire-fighting facilities and process disposal methods, and strengthened the practical application ability of intelligent systems such as GDS and DCS.

In the afternoon training session, the group practice was the core. Participants experienced the operation of hydrogenation unit and risk point identification through AR/MR technology, and completed practical tasks such as pipeline system construction and blind flange installation under the guidance of teachers from our school, so as to effectively improve emergency handling skills in complex environments.

After the training, Zhu Zhixiang, deputy head of Shanghai Fire and Rescue Corps, and Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, attended the discussion on deepening the cooperation between our school and Shanghai Fire and Rescue Corps. Zhu Zhixiang pointed out that this training with remarkable results is the first practical project after the corps signed a contract with the school to build a training base. The school's professional training facilities and teachers have provided strong support for the fire brigade to improve its ability to cope with chemical disasters.

Gao Ju said that the school has always adapted to the needs of the service industry, introduced the international standard system to build a chemical safety skills training base, and it will further integrate high-quality resources in the future to build a training system that meets the actual needs of fire rescue. The two sides unanimously agreed to deepen cooperation, strengthen the training of fire-fighting professionals through joint training, skills competition and special training of equipment application, and deliver high-quality and professional talents for the industry.

The successful holding of this activity marks a new stage of cooperation between the school and Shanghai Fire and Rescue Corps. In the future, the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, continue to promote the innovation of chemical safety training system, help Shanghai Fire and Rescue Corps forge scientific, accurate and efficient chemical disaster handling capability, and ensure urban safety and industry development.
