On May 14th, Wang Haijun, an expert of China Occupational Safety and Health Association and former deputy director of the National Workplace Safety Emergency Rescue Center and his party visited our school to conduct a special inspection and learn more about the construction and operation of the Chemical Safety Skills Training Base. Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of our school, accompanied the inspection, and heads of relevant departments such as the School of Chemical Engineering and the Training Center attended the discussion and exchange.
At the symposium, Gao Ju systematically introduced the school's orientation, specialty characteristics and achievements in the construction of training bases. He emphasized that the base strictly followed the requirements of "the Guide to the Construction and Operation of Chemical Safety Skills Training Base", and built a three-dimensional training system of "theory + practice + digital simulation", equipped with nine training modules including typical chemical equipment operation, special operation safety skills and emergency response. The base has completed more than 10,000 trainings for employees and students every year on average, and was recognized as "National Chemical Safety Skills Training Demonstration Base" by the Emergency Management Department in 2024.
Wang Haijun spoke highly of the effectiveness of the school base construction, with special emphasis on its three characteristics of "perfect curriculum system, accurate cultivation of professional quality, and in-depth integration of production and education". He pointed out that through the design of "safety training matrix", the base realized the whole chain ability training from basic skills to complex scene handling, which provided solid talent support for the safe development of the chemical industry. At the same time, he introduced "the Training Project for Improving the Occupational Injury Prevention Ability of Hazardous Chemicals Enterprises (2024-2026)" jointly promoted by the Emergency Management Ministry and Human Resources and Social Security Ministry. This project will focus on tackling the root causes of chemical safety production, and carry out training outline formulation, textbook compilation and training items bank construction, and invite our school as the core unit to participate in standard validation and resource development.
During the inspection, the expert group visited Cross-enterprise Training Center and Chemical Comprehensive Training Building on the spot, and fully affirmed the school's perfect training facilities and the integrated training mode of "teaching, learning, practice and evaluation".
The school will take this opportunity to deepen the cooperation with the association in the fields of standard setting, teacher co-education and technical research, and jointly build a national chemical safety training resource pool to provide intellectual support and talent guarantee for the healthy and sustainable development of regional economy.
