On May 21st, Chen Lei, Party Secretary and President of Shanghai City Science and Technology School, led a team to visit our school to carry out inter-school exchange activities. Gao Ju, Party Secretary of our school, warmly received them. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on core issues such as training cooperation between secondary and higher vocational schools and coordinated development between schools.
At the exchange meeting, Gao Ju extended a warm welcome to Chen Lei and his party. Gao Ju introduced the school's situation from the aspects of school-running history, school-running effect of new higher vocational education and development planning. The school's new higher vocational education has achieved initial results, not only building one of the top ten safety training bases in China, but also winning many honors in World Skills Competition and China Odyssey of the Mind Innovation Competition. Chen Lei expressed his appreciation for the school's distinctive school-running characteristics and remarkable school-running results, and introduced the situation of Shanghai City Science and Technology School from aspects of the school's historical development and specialty setting. Chen Lei expressed the hope that the two sides will jointly explore the training scheme of middle and high-tech talents on the basis of mechanical and electrical majors, build an overpass for the growth of skilled talents, and deliver more high-quality technical and skilled talents to the advanced manufacturing industry in the region. The two sides closely followed the proposition of cultivating innovation through connection between middle and high schools, and launched multi-angle and deep-level exchanges on how to activate the school-running characteristics and resource advantages of both sides.
Before the meeting, Chen Lei and his party visited School History Museum, Intelligent Manufacturing Building, Cross-enterprise Training Center and Chemical Industry Comprehensive Training Building, and learned about the school's development, school-running characteristics and practical teaching achievements.
Zhang Julang, former Party Secretary of Shanghai City Science and Technology School, and heads of relevant departments of both schools participated in the exchange and discussion.
