On July 7th, a group of 15 teachers from Shizuishan Institute of Industry and Trade visited our school and participated in a five-day special training on chemical safety skills improvement, which is jointly organized by School of Continuing Education and School of Chemical Engineering of our school, aiming at deepening integration of production and education between the two schools and helping to build teachers' ability in the field of chemical safety.
Gu Jianping, Dean of School of Continuing Education warmly welcomed the teachers from afar, stressing that this training was the second cooperation between the two schools after the establishment of National Consortium for Industry-Education Integration of Hazardous Chemicals Safety and Smart Production this year. He hoped that relying on the resource advantages of our national chemical safety training base, we could provide the participating teachers with high-quality courses with close combination of theory and practice, and do our best to provide excellent services. Hu Dijun, Dean of School of Chemical Engineering, introduced in detail the specialty layout and international school-running characteristics of our school, explained the course arrangement, and the training covers modules such as safe operation of hazardous chemicals, application of intelligent instruments, and practical operation of the C2 hydrogenation unit in the National Virtual Simulation Base. Ma Jirong, head of New Materials Modern Industry School of Shizuishan Institute of Industry and Trade, expressed sincere gratitude to our school for the careful arrangement of this training, and also put forward seven requirements for the participating teachers, emphasizing safety first principle. Teachers expressed that they will cherish this opportunity, strictly observe discipline and actively participate, bring advanced experience back to Ningxia, and promote the level of chemical safety talents training.
