Seminar of Secondary and Higher Vocational Education Consortium Held in Our School

In order to deepen the reform of the training mode of talents and build a high-quality and efficient “3+2” articulated program (between secondary and higher vocational education), a seminar of secondary and higher vocational education consortium was held in our school on July 16th. The seminar was led by Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, with the participation of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, Shanghai Environmental Science School, Shanghai City and Technology School, Shanghai Shibei Vocational High School and Shanghai Baoshan Vocational School.

At the meeting, Chen Xiaobin, president of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Shen Chunyan, president of Shanghai Food Science and Technology School, Cao Meiqin, president of Shanghai Environmental Science School, Chen Lei, Party secretary and president of Shanghai City and Technology School, Li Xudong, Party secretary and president of Shanghai Shibei Vocational High School, and Chen Lin, president of Shanghai Baoshan Vocational School, gave a detailed introduction on school-running orientation, specialty construction, talent training mode and development achievements of each school respectively, laying a solid foundation for multi-party cooperation.


Gao Ju, secretary of the Party Committee of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, said in his speech that he was grateful to the five schools for their full support, which injected a strong impetus into the promotion of training talents through “3+2” articulated program. He hoped to build a long-term and in-depth cooperative relationship with the five schools, take “3+2” articulated program as an important carrier, and strive to create a cooperative model of secondary and higher vocational education consortium, so as to realize precise connection and organic integration of secondary and higher vocational education in terms of curriculum system, teaching standards and training resources. Gao Ju hoped all parties will uphold the concept of pursuing excellence and ensure that each major can fully reflect the advantages of secondary and higher vocational education. All parties also need to establish a normalized communication mechanism, and through continuous deepening of discussions, constantly optimize the training plan for talents in secondary and higher vocational schools, and jointly improve the level of running vocational education.

In the interactive communication session, the participants focused on seeking approval for majors of “3+2” articulated program, combined with the characteristics and reality of each school, and shared experiences and exchanged opinions around the curriculum convergence and training objectives of the majors. Everyone agrees that seeking approval for majors of “3+2” articulated program should be based on the needs of regional industries, taking into account the focus of secondary and higher vocational education, ensuring that the training program is feasible, and laying a solid foundation for “3+2” articulated program.

Before the meeting, the participants visited School History Museum, Intelligent Manufacturing Building, Cross-enterprise Training Center and Chemical Comprehensive Training Building. Through visit, they had a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the school history, training facilities and achievements, which laid the foundation for the follow-up resource sharing and cooperation of secondary and higher vocational education.

The successful convening of the seminar of secondary and higher vocational education consortium further clarifies cooperation consensus, builds an efficient cooperation and exchange platform for the training of talents in secondary and higher vocational schools, and plays an important role in promoting the sharing of educational resources in secondary and higher vocational schools, improving the training system and consolidating the overall quality of vocational education.
