Shanghai Environmental Chemical Teaching Steering Committee went to Suzhou Vocational College for exchange and research

On October 30th and 31st, Yan Xiaoli, vice-president of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, led a 14-member research delegation, together with Su Xiaofeng, vice-president of Shanghai Material Engineering School, Jin Hui, vice-president of Shanghai Medical School, and members of Shanghai Environmental Chemical Teaching Steering Committee and key teachers, to conduct special exchanges in Suzhou, and visited Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology and Suzhou Xiangcheng Secondary Vocational School around the themes of school development and discipline construction planning, integration of production and education and school-enterprise cooperation mode for the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan period.

On October 30th, the delegation arrived at Suzhou Industrial Park Institute of Vocational Technology. As one of the 100 model higher vocational colleges in China and the construction unit of high-level vocational colleges with characteristics in Jiangsu Province, China, the school has attracted wide attention from visitors for its unique mixed ownership mode. President Cai Haifei introduced the school's practice of relying on the background of China-Singapore cooperation, taking the public as the foundation and enterprise ownership as the feature, making full use of the industrial advantages of Suzhou Industrial Park, and promoting the deep integration of production and education. The school always adheres to "crisis consciousness" and clearly takes "industrial docking—discipline adjustment—student-oriented" as the development goal, and continues to promote education and teaching reform. The person in charge of school-enterprise cooperation department further shared the practical experience of the school in introducing more than 20 enterprises in 2023 and established a perfect assessment mechanism for enterprises in the school. The School of Industry implements a four-level linkage mechanism of "provincial leadership, municipal demonstration, district support and school-level incubation", and introduces well-known enterprises such as Samsung Electronics Semiconductor and Funa Intelligent Technology to realize the seamless docking between students and enterprises, forming a distinctive and diverse collaborative educational pattern. Vice president Su Xiaofeng of Shanghai Material Engineering School spoke highly of the school's classroom order, campus style and educational effect, and thought that its school-running mode provided valuable experience for similar colleges, hoping to take this opportunity to further deepen the mutual learning and cooperation among schools and jointly promote the development of vocational education.


On the morning of October 31st, the delegation came to Suzhou Xiangcheng Secondary Vocational School, a national key secondary vocational school. Around the theme of "AI+ Education", the school demonstrated its innovative achievements in smart classroom construction and data governance. Relevant teachers introduced the development and application of "AI-based classroom quality testing platform" in detail. The platform relies on AI big model technology to dynamically monitor key indicators such as students' attendance and behavior in real time, and generate quality evaluation reports. The platform also has the function of intelligent teaching assistant, which can automatically generate question bank, build personal and public resource pool, and realize intelligent sharing of teaching resources. In addition, the school also demonstrated the system construction of big data platform in data governance, hierarchical storage, security, theme analysis and visualization. Mr. Zhou Ruiming further introduced the "Data Service Platform for Industry-Education Communication", which takes "industry empowerment—enterprise demand—vocational post—school cultivation" as the main line, generates the analysis report and construction plan of industry-education integration, and provides data support and decision-making reference for discipline optimization and talent training of schools. Participants held a heated discussion on the deep integration of AI technology and education and teaching, and fully affirmed the school's exploration in digital empowerment and school-enterprise collaborative education.

This exchange activity not only deepened the mutual understanding between the vocational education in Shanghai and Suzhou, but also provided new ideas and methods for the discipline construction, integration of production and education and digital transformation of vocational colleges during the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan period. The two sides indicated that they will continue to strengthen regional cooperation, jointly promote the deep integration of vocational education and modern industrial system, and help the training of high-quality skilled and technical personnel to a new level.
