Coordinated Planning to Enhance Talent Development: Joint Meeting Advances Fire Rescue Technology Program

To promote the high-quality development of the secondary-higher vocational articulation program for Fire Rescue Technology and systematically arrange key initiatives, a joint working meeting was convened on March 11th in the fourth-floor meeting room of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. The meeting brought together leaders from both schools, including Li Xudong, Party Secretary of Shanghai Shibei Vocational High School, and Chen Xiaobin, President of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, along with relevant department heads. The session was chaired by Zhang Haixia, Vice President of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College.

Prior to the meeting, both school leaders conducted an inspection tour of the practical training bases at the School of Emergency Management, visiting specialized areas for emergency response, firefighting operations, and virtual simulation. They gained comprehensive insights into equipment configuration, teaching operations, and industry-education integration, while observing practical training and teaching as well as hearing briefings on program development.

Chen Xiaobin provided an overview of school development and the progress of the Fire Rescue program. He emphasized that the meeting established clear priorities and task assignments, calling for department heads to strengthen accountability and cross-departmental collaboration. "We must adopt problem-oriented, goal-oriented, and results-driven approaches, refining implementation plans with specific timelines and responsible personnel," Chen stated,"This meeting should serve as a catalyst for deepening articulation reform and cultivating more high-caliber technical professionals for the fire rescue sector."

Li Xudong noted the strong compatibility between the two schools' programs, providing an excellent foundation for collaborative articulation. He outlined plans to enhance teaching connection and resource sharing, jointly elevating the quality of technical talent development and advancing the secondary-higher articulation program.

The two parties engaged in thorough discussions centered on the articulation training plan for Fire Rescue Technology, focusing on seven core tasks: student recruitment and employment, practical internships, compilation of teaching documents, teaching schedule optimization, tiered vocational certification, and skills competitions. Through these discussions, they clarified implementation pathways and enhanced responsibilities, aiming to elevate the articulation program from smooth connection to higher quality and efficiency.
