Miao Yong, Deputy Secretary of Jinshan Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Visits Our School for Research and Guidance

On March 19, a delegation led by Miao Yong, Deputy Secretary of Jinshan Political and Legal Affairs Committee, visited Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College to conduct a special research tour on campus safety and stability, college student safety education, and comprehensive campus governance. Wu Ying, Deputy Party Secretary of Jinshan Education Work Committee, accompanied the delegation. School leaders including Party Secretary Gao Ju, President Chen Xiaobin, and Vice President Yan Xiaoli attended the symposium.


During the symposium, Gao Ju, on behalf of the school, warmly welcomed the arrival of Miao Yong and his delegation, and expressed sincere gratitude to Jinshan Political and Legal Affairs Committee and Jinshan Education Work Committee for their long-term care and support for the school's development. He pointed out that campus safety is the lifeline of school development, and the school consistently prioritizes safety work. He hoped that this research tour would serve as an opportunity to further enhance the school's comprehensive governance capabilities.

Focusing on the research theme, the school provided a detailed report on its specific measures and achievements in campus safety management, with emphasis on the investment in the "three-dimensional prevention" construction (personnel protection, physical protection, and technological protection), the integration of student mental health education with safety education, and the long-term mechanisms established for comprehensive governance of the campus and its surrounding environment.

After listening to the report, Miao Yong fully affirmed the work and achievements made by the school in campus safety and stability. He emphasized that campus safety concerns the well-being of thousands of families and the harmony and stability of the society. Regarding school safety work, he put forward that the school should enhance its political stance, remain vigilant on safety issues at all times, and strengthen the sense of responsibility and urgency in performing campus safety work. He also called for continued consistency in thought, alignment between the school and the local community, Party building guidance, exemplary teaching ethics, legal guarantees, comprehensive governance, prevention as a priority, and subtle cultivation, effectively enhancing the effectiveness and exemplary nature of campus safety work. He stressed the need to deepen the collaboration between the school and local authorities, strengthen information sharing and coordination with public security and other departments, and jointly weave a dense network of campus safety protection, thereby creating a safer and more stable environment for the school's high-quality development and the healthy growth of its students.

During the research tour, the two sides also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on specific issues such as preventing telecommunications and internet fraud, student mental health intervention, and traffic management around the campus.

Relevant department heads from the school's Party Committee Office, Student Affairs Office, and Security Department attended the symposium.
