From April 10th to 11th, two events of the 2026 Shanghai Vocational College Students’ Skills Competition, which was guided by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and hosted by the Education Technology and Equipment Center of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, were successfully held in our school. Twenty-nine teams from 19 higher vocational colleges in Shanghai competing in the two events of Electromechanical Equipment Installation Operation and Maintenance, Ecological Protection and Environmental Governance (higher vocational group) gathered in our school, focusing on the high-quality development achievements of vocational education and the elegant demeanor of skilled talents in the new era.
The competition is based on the real industrial scenarios and enterprise technical standards, and adopts the combination of practical assessment and on-site explanation. Electromechanical Equipment Installation Operation and Maintenance focuses on core skills such as equipment installation, precision debugging, fault diagnosis and operation and maintenance support, and test the contestants' operational standardization, technical proficiency, teamwork and complex problem solving ability. The event of Ecological Protection and Environmental Governance focuses on key links such as environmental monitoring and analysis, pollution control technology, safety standards and emergency response, and comprehensively tests the contestants' technical knowledge, problem solving and innovative practice ability.
The referee team abides by the principles of fairness, impartiality, openness and standardization and scores carefully throughout the whole process to ensure the authority and credibility of the events. All participating teams strictly abide by the rules and operate accurately, showing a solid professional foundation and excellent quality. The four participating teams of our school are calm and tacitly coordinated, and the operation is standardized and orderly, which fully shows the excellent professional skills, good psychological quality and positive mental outlook of our students, and won praise for their outstanding performance.
As the organizer, our school attached great importance and made careful preparations, held special coordination meetings many times, set up special work teams, and deployed and meticulously implemented in the aspects of arena planning, equipment debugging, personnel organization, logistics services, and emergency response plan, providing a solid guarantee for the smooth holding of the competition.
In the future, our school will adhere to the educational concept of "promoting education, learning and reform through competition", continue to deepen the comprehensive educational mechanism, promote the precise connection between discipline construction and industrial demand, continuously improve the training quality of technical and skilled personnel, and deliver more high-quality technical and skilled personnel for the high-quality development of regional economy.
