To deepen industry-education integration, bridge talent supply with enterprise demand, and align talent cultivation with industrial needs, a delegation from Shanghai Carbonbay Industrial Park visited our school on April 14. The delegation was led by Dong Xiaodan, Chief Economist of the Industrial Park, and included representatives from five enterprises: Huayi Coatings, Nippon Paint, Gan Tian Optical Materials, etc. Vice President Zhang Haixia, and heads of the International Exchange Office, the Admissions and Employment Office, the School of Chemical Engineering, and other relevant departments participated in the cooperation talks.

Dong Xiaodan fully recognized the school’s specialty strengths and resource advantages in chemical talent cultivation. She emphasized that the enterprises in the industrial park are in a critical phase of high-quality development, with an urgent need for high-caliber technical and skilled personnel. She expressed hope for continued and deeper cooperation with the school to precisely match enterprise job requirements and inject talent-driven momentum into the park’s industrial upgrading. Vice President Zhang Haixia reaffirmed the school’s commitment to serving local industrial needs and closely linking talent training with enterprise post requirements. She noted that the industrial park’s visit provides an excellent platform for precise alignment. She called on the park and its enterprises to support the school in areas such as 2026 graduates’ employment and 2027 students’ internships, working together to bridge the “last mile” between talent development and industrial demand, and achieving mutual benefits.
During the meeting, representatives from Huayi Coatings, Nippon Paint, and Gan Tian Optical Materials respectively introduced their corporate development status, core businesses, talent requirements, and future plans. The two sides engaged in lively discussions on key issues such as enterprise job needs, graduate employment, internship arrangements, and the formation of enterprise-named classes, reaching multiple consensus.

After the meeting, Dong Xiaodan and her delegation toured the school’s Chemical Engineering Comprehensive Training Building, inspecting the layout of training facilities, equipment configuration, and safety management. They also gained detailed insights into students' practical training, implementation of industry-education integration, and cultivation of students' all-round development.
This exchange and discussion further strengthened communication channels between the school and Carbonbay Industrial Park and its enterprises, clarified key directions for industry-education cooperation, and laid a solid foundation for deepening integration, promoting internship and employment collaboration, and advancing the creation of enterprise-named classes.
