On April 7, in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Lu’an Education Bureau for Jointly Promoting High-Quality Development of Education in Revolutionary Old Areas, Jinshan, Shanghai and Yeji, Lu’an are designated as deep‑cooperation regions. To further leverage the teaching and research advantages of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College and strengthen talent cultivation cooperation, Chen Yang from Yeji Vocational School in Lu’an City led eight students to our school for a three‑week teaching and learning activity.
Themed around project‑based learning, the activity was primarily coached by Ling Chaohui and Gao Wenjie from the School of Chemical Engineering. From project design to preparation of experimental equipment and reagents, the two teachers meticulously planned and tailored a systematic learning program for the teacher and students of Yeji Vocational School. Ling Chaohui provided comprehensive and detailed training on "Distillation Operation" – a fundamental unit in chemical production – covering the setup of training equipment, operating principles, and step‑by‑step demonstrations. Gao Wenjie focused on the project "Titration of Benzoic Acid", demonstrating the experimental principles, solution preparation, and task design, and guiding students throughout the practice.

During the exchange, school leaders and heads of the School of Chemical Engineering attached great importance to the activity, offering full support in logistics and teaching arrangements, and continuously caring for the study and living conditions of the visiting teacher and students. President Chen Xiaobin visited the teaching site to encourage the participants to seize the opportunity and study diligently, and instructed relevant departments to promptly address any difficulties encountered by the students. The teacher and students from Yeji Vocational School expressed their gratitude for the teaching programs provided by our school, stating that they will cherish this learning opportunity and strive to bring back the acquired knowledge and skills to Lu’an, thereby further promoting educational exchange between Jinshan and Yeji and injecting new vitality into the cooperation between the two regions.
