Our School Visits Shanghai Bay Area High-Tech Industrial Development Zone for Research and Cooperation

To better align with industry needs and promote deeper integration of talent cultivation with regional economic growth, a delegation led by President Chen Xiaobin conducted a research visit to the Shanghai Bay Area High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on April 21. The delegation was warmly received by Shen Jun, Business Director of Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd. and Secretary-General of Shanghai Jinshan Association of Enterprises with District Foreign Investment, along with key representatives from several major enterprises in the zone. Attendees from our school included directors from the Administration Office, Enrollment and Employment Office, International Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, Scientific Research Office, and relevant departments.

During the visit, Shen Jun provided an in-depth overview of the zone's industrial landscape, development strategies, and current demand for industrial workers. He noted that the zone is accelerating the establishment of a modern industrial system characterized by low-carbon, energy efficiency, high output, and high added value, with a strong focus on specialized and sophisticated enterprises, green factories, and smart factories. Industry-education integration, he emphasized, has become a critical driver for industrial transformation and upgrading. He expressed hope that our school would fully leverage its strengths in cultivating technical and skilled talent to precisely meet the talent needs of enterprises in the zone.

Chen Xiaobin reaffirmed the school's commitment to the guiding principle of "serving development and promoting employment", and its dedication to cultivating high-caliber technical and skilled professionals that meet the demands of modern industries. He stressed that vocational education must evolve in tandem with industrial development, and that the school's program setup, course content, and training systems should be closely aligned with industry job standards. Going forward, the school will take more proactive steps to engage with industrial zones and enterprises, striving to achieve a seamless match between talent cultivation and corporate needs.

During the symposium, representatives from enterprises located in the industrial development zone respectively introduced their company profiles, technological strengths, and specific needs for professional technical personnel and versatile skilled talents. All parties agreed that there is significant potential for collaboration in areas such as joint talent training, curriculum development, internship and employment, and technology research and development.

This research visit has further clarified the school's direction in serving regional industrial development and has laid a solid foundation for future school-enterprise cooperation initiatives such as customized training programs and the co-construction of training bases. Moving forward, our school will continue to pursue industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, continuously enhancing its talent cultivation to provide strong talent support and intellectual backing for the high-quality development of the Shanghai Bay Area High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.
