On May 28, the "Upholding Integrity, Pursuing Craftsmanship, Advancing with Vision" — 2026 Jinshan Education System Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen Entering Campus Action was successfully held at our school. The event was attended by Zhu Xinyang, Party Secretary and Executive Vice Chairman of Jinshan Federation of Trade Unions; Jin Tao, Deputy Secretary of Jinshan Education Work Committee and Director of the Jinshan Education Bureau; Wu Ying, Deputy Secretary of Jinshan Education Work Committee and Chairman of Jinshan Education Trade Union; Yang Fang, Vice Chairman of Jinshan Federation of Trade Unions; Gao Ju, Party Secretary of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College; Chen Xiaobin, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the school; and other leaders. Nearly 300 participants joined the on-site event, including representatives of national, Shanghai municipal and Jinshan district model workers and craftsmen, skilled craftsmen, grassroots trade union chairmen, and teacher and student representatives.

Jin Tao delivered a speech at the event. He pointed out that the Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen Entering Campus Action is a vivid, immersive, and mind‑nourishing "great ideological and political course". He called on everyone to make full use of the classroom as the main channel, integrating the spirit of craftsmanship into teaching; deepen collaborative education by applying the "Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen Practice Map" to help students appreciate the beauty of labor; and uphold innovation to cultivate seeds of serving the nation with skills, so that every exploration becomes a solid stepping stone toward the dream of becoming a great‑nation craftsman.

During the event, Zhu Xinyang, Wu Ying, Yang Fang and Gao Ju jointly lit up the Jinshan Education System Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen Practice Map, creating a new platform for regular, well‑equipped and systematic education through model workers and craftsmen across the district.

Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College presented a micro‑forum titled "Craftsmanship Aspires Future, Industry‑Education Cultivates Talents". Chen Xiaobin introduced the school's framework of "school coordination, departmental collaboration, studio support, and school‑enterprise linkage" for talent cultivation. He explained how the school has built a resource pool of model workers and craftsmen and a school‑enterprise cooperation platform, integrating the spirit of craftsmanship into teaching, course‑based ideological and political education, and campus culture. Through lectures, skills competitions and other carriers, the school fosters a craftsmanship‑oriented atmosphere. Zhang Hua, a Shanghai municipal model worker and craftsman, shared his 10+ years of school‑enterprise cooperation experience, elaborating on the vital value of industry‑education integration for talent development. He noted that in the context of new productive forces, talent must evolve toward composite, all‑round capabilities, and proposed five synchronicities: aligning job requirements with curriculum design; synchronizing accident case studies with risk identification; matching physical equipment with training bases; integrating production issues with technology breakthroughs; and combining hands‑on practice with theoretical support — thus clarifying the path for school‑enterprise collaborative education. Wang Fan, head of a Jinshan Craftsman Studio, shared how he translates the spirit of model workers into concrete teaching practices. Li Dongyang, winner of a gold medal at the World Vocational College Skills Competition, recounted his growth journey, illustrating young students' pursuit of craftsmanship. The micro‑forum was moderated by Vice President Zhang Haixia.

Teachers and students from Jinshan No. 2 Experimental Primary School presented a scenario narrative titled "The Super‑energy Youth Chasing Light", vividly portraying the spirited determination of young people following role models and striving for craftsmanship.

Outside the main venue, exhibition areas displayed the achievements of model workers and skilled craftsmen alongside the results of labor education from pilot schools. The model workers and craftsmen provided inspiring guidance, and the pilot schools showcased fruitful outcomes, demonstrating the rich achievements in inheriting and innovating the spirit of model workers on campus.

Taking this event as an opportunity, the school will further promote the spirit of model workers, the value of labor, and the essence of craftsmanship. It will make full use of the resources of the Model Workers and Skilled Craftsmen Practice Map, deeply cultivate the fields of ideological and political education and skills training, integrate the pursuit of craftsmanship into the entire process of talent cultivation, and contribute to the high‑quality development of regional industries by nurturing a new generation of technical and skilled talents who possess both outstanding skills and the spirit of craftsmanship.
