On June 16, our school held a signing ceremony for the school‑enterprise cooperation agreement with Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd., alongside the inaugural formation of 240 Huayi New Materials Class, in the school’s Multifunctional Hall. Jiang Zhaofei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd., and Chen Xiaobin, President of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, attended the event. All teachers and students of 240 Huayi New Materials Class participated in the ceremony.

Chen Xiaobin delivered a speech, expressing sincere gratitude to Huayi New Materials for its long‑term care and support for the school’s development. He noted that the school closely aligns with Jinshan’s strategic planning of “Two Zones and One Stronghold” and “Three Bays,” focusing on four major areas: chemicals and new materials, intelligent manufacturing, safety and emergency response, and smart livelihood services. The school has built a program system headed by modern chemicals and new materials cluster, with intelligent mechatronics and public safety & smart emergency as key clusters, and smart health services as a distinctive feature. He looked forward to taking this cooperation signing and the first Huayi New Materials class as an opportunity to open a new chapter in school‑enterprise collaboration.

Jiang Zhaofei stated that Huayi New Materials places high importance on talent development and expects that through in‑depth cooperation with Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, the two sides will jointly cultivate high‑quality technical and skilled personnel who meet the company’s needs, providing solid talent support for the company’s high‑quality development. He also encouraged the students to seize the opportunity, hold themselves to the standard of “master craftsmen,” attach great importance to safety awareness, maintain an “empty‑cup mindset,” be rigorous and responsible, and grow into technical backbone talents needed by the chemical industry as soon as possible.

In the presence of all attendees, representatives of both sides formally signed the school‑enterprise cooperation agreement. A student representative from 240 Huayi New Materials Class gave a speech, expressing the firm resolve to cherish the learning opportunity, diligently hone professional skills, and strive to become pillars of the chemical industry at an early date. Di Weiqiang, Operation Manager of the Acrylic Acid Plant at Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd., and an outstanding alumnus of the school, shared his own growth experience with the teachers and students. He encouraged the students to value this unique platform, master theoretical knowledge solidly during their studies, proactively understand the company’s production processes and management standards, cultivate a meticulous safety awareness and the spirit of craftsmanship, and quickly adapt to job requirements after graduation, so as to realize their personal value on the front lines of chemical production.
Shanghai Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Shanghai Huayi Group, a state‑owned holding enterprise authorized by the Shanghai State‑owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). It is a major producer of acrylic acid and ester series products in China and has been recognized as a national‑level green factory and a benchmark enterprise for intelligent manufacturing, with strong technical capabilities and significant industry influence. The establishment of 240 Huayi New Materials Class represents an important measure under the strategic cooperation framework, and a concrete practice of deepening industry‑education integration and promoting collaborative talent cultivation. This order‑based training model enables the enterprise to participate fully in the entire talent cultivation process, allowing students to align with corporate standards, master job skills, and absorb corporate culture while still at school—thus achieving a win‑win outcome for the school, the enterprise, and the students.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, all participants took a group photo to commemorate this important moment. This cooperation marks a new stage in the strategic partnership between the two sides. Both parties will uphold the principles of mutual benefit and complementary advantages, and carry out deeper and broader collaboration in areas such as joint talent training bases, order‑based personnel development, and on‑the‑job training for enterprise employees, thereby providing strong talent support and intellectual backing for the high‑quality development of the regional chemical and new materials industry.
