To implement the national arrangements for counterpart cooperation between key cities in old revolutionary base areas, a delegation led by Zhou Xiaojuan, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of Yeji District, Lu'an City, visited our school on July 20 to discuss regular cooperation mechanisms such as inter‑institutional pairing. Qiu Mingbo, Deputy Director of Jinshan Education Bureau, and Gao Ju, Party Secretary of our school, attended the relevant activities.
Qiu Mingbo extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that, in accordance with the requirements of Shanghai‑Anhui counterpart cooperation implementation plan, Jinshan and Yeji have been continuously deepening public service collaboration and coordinating high‑quality vocational education resources to support the development of vocational education in Yeji. He highlighted that Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College has fully leveraged its resource advantages and solidly advanced its assistance efforts, achieving remarkable results. Jinshan Education Bureau will continue to build collaborative platforms, promote the sharing and complementary advantages of vocational education resources between the two regions, and steadily expand the scope of cooperation.
Zhou Xiaojuan expressed sincere gratitude to Jinshan Education Bureau and Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College for their support and assistance. She emphasized that since the inception of the counterpart cooperation, Jinshan has exported quality educational resources to Yeji, and the pairing and co‑construction efforts in vocational education between the two sides have yielded significant outcomes. Yeji Vocational School has received comprehensive support, and its achievements in skills competitions are a testament to the effectiveness of the collaboration. This visit aims to learn from advanced educational practices, base construction, and talent cultivation models. She expressed hope that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to deepen regular interaction mechanisms, broaden cooperation pathways, achieve mutual empowerment, and jointly elevate the level of vocational education and the capacity to serve industrial development in both regions.
On behalf of our school, Gao Ju introduced the recent development and reviewed the history of paired assistance with Yeji Vocational School. He mentioned that our school has dispatched key faculty members to provide guidance and instruction, assisted in skills competition preparation, and helped Yeji Vocational School achieve outstanding results in Anhui Province’s skills competitions. Moving forward, our school will continue to fulfill its assistance responsibilities, expand cooperation areas, and export high‑quality vocational education resources to support the upgrading and improvement of vocational education in Anhui.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in‑depth discussions on topics including vocational education development, faculty team building, and talent cultivation, exchanging views and building consensus on follow‑up collaborative initiatives. Yeji Vocational School presented a banner of gratitude to our school in recognition of its support.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation toured School History Museum, training centers, and practical training buildings, gaining a thorough understanding of our school’s history, development achievements, and assistance outcomes. They observed practical teaching sessions, studied base operation models, talent cultivation approaches, and competition preparation experiences, and spoke highly of our school’s educational accomplishments.
In recent years, under the framework of Jinshan‑Yeji counterpart cooperation, a mature collaborative mechanism has been established in vocational education between the two regions. Going forward, our school will strictly implement the Shanghai‑Anhui counterpart cooperation requirements, leverage its professional strengths, advance various assistance projects, and export quality resources. Together with Yeji Vocational School, it will explore new models for cross‑regional collaborative talent development in vocational education. Through these paired efforts, our school aims to support the high‑quality development of vocational education in both regions and cultivate more high‑caliber technical and skilled talents to serve the industrial synergy of the Yangtze River Delta region.
