Our School Visits Lexus (Shanghai) New Energy Co., Ltd. for School‑Enterprise Cooperation Exchange

To deepen industry‑education integration and precisely align with the talent demands of the regional new energy sector, a delegation from Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College visited Lexus (Shanghai) New Energy Co., Ltd. on July 17 for a school‑enterprise cooperation exchange. The delegation was led by Shen Jun, Shen Jun, Business Director of Shanghai New Jinshan Industrial Investment & Development Co., Ltd. and Secretary-General of Shanghai Jinshan Association of Enterprises with District Foreign Investment, and comprised Shen Duan, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College, Qi Aiqing, Director of the International Exchange Office, Zhang Huiying, Program Leader of New Energy Materials Application Technology, School of Chemical Engineering, and Xue Daxiang, core faculty member. The meeting was attended by Kato Yosuke, Section Chief of Lexus (Shanghai) New Energy Co., Ltd., Lin Fan, Head of Battery Manufacturing Function, and Chen Xiaojie, Head of Employee Training Function.

During the exchange, Shen Duan presented the history, program portfolio, and achievements in industry‑education integration of Shanghai Modern Chemical Industry Vocational College. Lin Fan gave an overview of the company’s basic profile, project construction progress, and future talent needs. Zhang Huiying systematically introduced the talent cultivation plan for the New Energy Materials Application Technology program, covering training objectives, curriculum system, practical training facilities, and faculty composition.

In the discussion session, the two sides engaged in in‑depth conversations on topics such as enterprise job requirements, vocational students’ competency development, internship arrangements, and collaborative school‑enterprise talent cultivation models, actively expressing their willingness to cooperate. Both parties concurred that the construction and commissioning of the Lexus Jinshan plant will generate substantial demand for technical and skilled talent in the regional new energy industry, which closely matches the training orientation of our school’s New Energy Materials Application Technology and related programs. Looking ahead, the two sides will further explore cooperation pathways in talent development, joint curriculum design, internships, and employment, jointly contributing to the high‑quality development of new energy industry of Jinshan.
