To thoroughly implement the paired cooperation arrangements between Shanghai and Anhui and further enhance the effectiveness of cross-regional vocational education collaboration, from July 21 to 23, the School of Chemical Engineering arranged for two instructors, Ye Guoqing and Zhou Yanling, to conduct a three-day specialized training and competition preparation program on distillation unit operation skills for six contestants from Lu’an Yeji Vocational School.
During the training, Ye Guoqing and Zhou Yanling provided systematic and meticulous guidance closely following the operating procedures for the distillation unit. The two instructors delivered targeted instruction based on the specific conditions of the six contestants, and, in line with scoring standards, led the students through high-intensity full-process simulation drills and standardized practical operations.
The training comprehensively covered three core modules: Technical indicators: Emphasis was placed on reinforcing the stability control of key process parameters such as feed temperature and internal column temperature, with focused breakthroughs on scoring items including product concentration, yield, raw materials, and energy consumption. Standardized operation: From startup preparation and startup procedures to normal operation and shutdown, all steps were repeatedly practiced in strict accordance with standard protocols to ensure precise execution at every stage. Safety and civilized operation: Special emphasis was placed on safety red lines, prohibiting improper practices such as dry heating of preheaters and direct discharge of residual bottoms, so as to cultivate rigorous and standardized professional habits among the students.
This specialized training serves as a vivid example of our school’s solid efforts in paired assistance and support. Under the careful guidance of instructors Ye Guoqing and Zhou Yanling, the participating students made significant improvements in both professional skills and work ethic, laying a strong foundation for achieving excellent results in upcoming vocational school skills competitions.
